Orientations: Islamic Thought in a World Civilization, focuses on our common intellectual, ethical and spiritual resources for responding constructively to those challenges and responsibilities shared by all human beings in our emerging global civilization. It explores the contemporary approaches of three classical Muslim thinkers - Al - Farabi's political philosophy, Ibn Arabi's scriptural hermeneutics, and Ostad Elahi's ethically grounded spirituality - who together provide the inspiration for lastingly constructive responses to those dramatic challenges.
